COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

We at Atlas Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine are taking the current situation regarding COVID-19 seriously.  We have put in place measures that look to maximize the safety of both staff and patients, and ultimately limit any impact on the spread of the illness.  We are waiting on the arrival of touchless thermometers and to help screen for potential risks and masks to help limit exposure.l

We ask that current and prospective patients abide by the following guidelines:

  1. When you arrive you will be asked a series of questions to determine the following: a. if you have symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath; b. if you have traveled to countries in the past 14 days that have a level 3 travel warning (per CDC) and/or have been on a cruise; c. if you have had close contact with a person confirmed to have the COVID-19 virus
  2. If you answer YES to any of the questions our staff will work with you to reschedule your appointment and set up an e-visit in the meantime should you wish to do so
  3. We will only allow the patient themselves into the clinical area.  If a patient is a minor or an adult that requires another’s assistance, they may be accompanied by ONE adult caregiver.
  4. Patients and therapists will be asked to wash/disinfect their hands before and after each treatment session.  There are hand sanitizers and sinks throughout each of the clinics.

As a company we will be doing the following:

  1. Cleaning all frequently touched surfaces on a regular basis with EPA approved chemicals.
  2. Reading material, pens, and other items that can be frequently handled have been removed from the lobbies and treatment rooms until further notice to limit exposure.
  3. Do our best to maintain a spacious environment by limiting non-essential personnel.
  4. Encourage staff to stay home if they should feel ill.

We are committed to making this situation as stress-free as possible.  No patient will be charged or penalized for canceling their appointment at any time.  Likewise, we will be working together to see that employees stay home if they feel sick and are able to seek medical treatment for themselves or family members, and not feel penalized in any way.
