Ron is a licensed physical therapist and licensed and certified athletic trainer presently serving in an administrative role as the President and CEO of Atlas. Ron graduated from Samford University and received his Athletic Trainer Certification in 1989 through the National Athletic Trainers Association. He attended the Medical College of Georgia where he received his Physical Therapy degree in 1992. In 1999, Ron opened Atlas in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville. Ron used his prior clinic management experience to develop a therapy facility that emphasized orthopedics with a prime focus on providing excellent outcomes for the patients. He has provided his athletic trainer services in Birmingham, Augusta, Tampa and Jacksonville over the past 30 plus years serving youth sports, middle and high school athletics, collegiate and professional athletes. Ron holds an additional certification through USA Weightlifting as a Level 1 Sports Performance Coach. Ron lives with his wife in Saint Johns County and has 3 adult sons that live in the area. Ron enjoys participating in his own personal fitness, traveling and attending classic car shows.
Adam is a licensed physical therapist and licensed and certified athletic trainer, as well as the Vice President of Atlas. He received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of North Florida. Adam joined the Atlas team in 2001 and has been involved in all facets of the business from patient care to management and ultimately co-ownership. Adam holds additional certifications in strength and conditioning as a CSCS through the NSCA and in personalized blood flow restriction through Owens Recovery Science. He has invested additional time attending management and leadership training through Crestcom’s Bullet Proof Manager program. He has also spoken nationally on the topics of private practice growth and ownership. Adam extends his experience and knowledge in the fields of strength and conditioning and business management as owner and Director of Operations at Tork Sports Performance, LLC. Adam lives in St. Johns County with his wife and 4 children.
Leo is a licensed physical therapist and licensed and certified athletic trainer. He attended the University of North Florida for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees. Leo joined the Atlas team in 2006 and serves as the clinic director at the County Road 210 location. Leo is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) as recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and has worked as an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Florida Department of Clinical and Applied Movement Sciences. He has an additional certification in personalized blood flow restriction through Owens Recovery Science. Additionally, he serves as the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCCE) establishing a network of relationships with academic institutions across the country to educate physical therapy and athletic training students. Leo lives in St. Johns County with his wife and 3 children and he never misses a Jags game!
Michelle is a licensed physical therapist who has been with Atlas since 2012. Michelle graduated from the University of St. Augustine with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 and UNF with her Bachelors in Athletic Training in 2007. Michelles specializes in orthopedic manual therapy and is working towards advancing her skills in vestibular rehabilitation. Michelle lives in St. Johns county with her husband and 2 children and enjoys spending any spare time outdoors.
Ben is a licensed physical therapist. Ben received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos, California. He joined the Atlas team in January, 2019 after working several years in a sports and orthopedic setting here in Jacksonville. He also holds two additional certifications, one in strength and conditioning as a CSCS through the NSCA and also a CrossFit Level-1 certification through CrossFit HQ. Ben has competed in both CrossFit and Powerlifting over the years and is always ready for a new challenge. He lives on Jacksonville beach with his wife and daughter and enjoys time with his family, the beach, and surfing in his free time.
Michelle is a licensed physical therapist who received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri Columbia in 2007. Michelle began working with Atlas in 2016 shortly after relocating to Florida and is currently the director of the Pelvic Health Program serving both men and women. Michelle holds an additional certification as a Certified Manual Physical Therapist (CMPT) through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT). She lives in St Johns County with her husband, 2 kids, and 2 dogs.
Tom is a licensed physical therapist with a background in baseball, powerlifting, and sports performance. He graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University and his B.S from The University of Florida. Tom is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) as recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He was one of the first certified blood flow restriction providers in the state of Florida through Owens Recovery Science. As the Director of Applied Clinical Science (DACS) for Atlas, he mediates and facilitates regular clinical education to ensure we maintain the best practices that current scientific evidence promotes. Tom has extensive experience in treating athletes, with special interest in the overhead athlete (baseball, QBs, CrossFit, etc.). He has worked as a strength and conditioning coach and physical therapist with athletes from the MLB, MiLB, NFL, NFL Combine, USOC, NCAA, HS, and USA Powerlifting. Tom is recognized nationally as a Baseball Health Professional Certified Provider, through Baseball Health Professionals, LLC. Tom continues to be involved in the development of athletes and progression of rehab, as the Director of Sports Performance at Tork Sports Performance, LLC. Tom is committed to the advancement of sports and orthopedic physical therapy, as well as optimizing the performance of athletes and the general population alike. He resides in St. Johns with his wife and Golden Retriever, Brewster.
Andrew is a licensed physical therapist with a background in strength and conditioning. He graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine in 2019. Andrew graduated from Georgia College and State University with his B.S. in Exercise Science and M.Ed in Kinesiology with a specialization in Human Performance. He was also a pitcher with the GC&SU baseball program. Andrew worked as a strength and conditioning coach for 5 years training athletes from the NCAA, NAIA, NFL, NHL, MLB, HS, and USOC track and field organizations. Andrew has been a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA since 2011. He lives in St. Johns County with his wife and daughter.
Aubrey is a licensed Physical Therapist who joined Atlas in 2019 at the World Golf Village clinic. He attended Troy University for his bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2016 and Samford University for his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019. Aubrey is currently studying to achieve additional credentials in CrossFit Level-1 certification and Certified Strength and Conditioning. In his free time, you can find Aubrey with his friends at CrossFit Black Hive training to compete in upcoming CrossFit and Weight lifting competitions.
Reed is a licensed and certified athletic trainer. Reed was born and raised in Jacksonville graduating highschool from Mandrian Christian. He attended college at the University of North Florida where he obtained his degree in Athletic Training. During his development as an athletic trainer he gained experience working with all levels of athletes from highschool to professional.
Hannah is a licensed and certified athletic trainer that started with Atlas in 2014. She treats patients in the clinic and provides outreach to Bartram Trail High School assisting with medical coverage for games and competitions. Hannah moved to Jacksonville in 2007, graduated from Mandarin High School, and attended the University of North Florida to receive her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training in 2015.
Jordan is a licensed and certified athletic trainer that has been with the Atlas team since 2013. She works in the clinic and also provides outreach services to Nease High School. Jordan has been involved in the youth athletic community in the North Florida area since 2010. Jordan lives in St. Johns County and when not in the clinic or on the field she can be found outdoors with her 2 dogs.
Lisa is a physical therapist and clinic director at our World Golf Village location. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2003 from the University of St. Augustine. She has been with Atlas since 2006 and has specialized in orthopedic manual therapy as well as vestibular rehabilitation. She lives in St. Johns, FL with her two boys. She enjoys running, yoga, strength training and paddle boarding in her spare time.
Matt is a licensed physical therapist and the clinic director at Atlas in Mandarin. Matt joined the Atlas team in 2018 and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist as a CSCS through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Matt attained his undergraduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University where he played soccer and went on to graduate from the University of St. Augustine with his Doctor of Physical Therapy. Matt coaches youth soccer in the area for Florida Elite Soccer Academy. Matt lives in St Johns County with his wife.
Kimberly is a licensed physical therapist assistant and has been with Atlas since 2003. Kimberly has worked extensively with orthopedic conditions of all kinds as well as pelvic health and obstetrics. She is also a personalized blood flow restriction provider through Owens Recovery Science. Kimberly has competed in both CrossFit and powerlifting and is passionate about educating women on the importance of strength through weight training. Kimberly lives in St. Johns County with her husband and 4 children.
